Nonie and James

Nonie came in town last week for some PEO meetings and got to spend some time with James!

James at almost 4 months with Nonie.
Nonie is actually back in Memphis again, and soon Pops will be here too!
We will take more pictures and post them!

For the past week, James has decided he likes to sleep with his "lovies" over his face. Sometimes his entire face is covered and it scares me to death! Thank goodness this time he only covered his eyes for the most part. Nonie me made feel better when she told me Rachel's story (Rachel is Justin's sister). Rachel's daughter, Addelyn, used to do the same thing when she was James' age. Except she would put a huge, thick blanket over her whole head! I wonder why some babies like things over their face??

New Discoveries

James has been discovering a couple of new things lately.

He found his feet and has been sooo interested in them.

Last night, he actually figured out he could put his foot in his mouth!
(excuse the dirty diaper in the background)

I just put his jumper together, and we gave it a try. He was in wonderland.

Of course, he is not really ready for it. The box said 4 months, and James is about 3 1/2 months. But he seemed to be ok.....I just had to make sure he didn't topple over.

You can see here that his feet don't even touch yet. Even with how tall he is. And the jumper is on the lowest setting. His toes should be touching the ground according to the instructions.

Chick-Fil-A Outing

Yesterday, we found out that if you go in Chick-Fil-A wearing some article of clothing of your favorite sports team, you got a FREE chicken sandwich! Well, we were not going to pass up free food and a chance to show off our love for GEORGIA! So all of us, except for Kramer, went to Chick-Fil-A.

The whole family sporting Georgia attire!

Like father like son

You can't be married to Justin and not be a Georgia fan yourself!

James says, "Go DAWGS!"

That's right! I asked the cashier if James got a free sandwich since he was sporting his favorite team, and the guy didn't even blink an eye. James got his own free sandwich that Justin ate for lunch at school today! Haha

This is just a picture of Justin playing outside with James and Kramer.
James loves to "fly".

Well, my sweet baby used to be an incredible sleeper, but the 45 minute intruder has crept in and sure enough on the dot, James wakes up after every 45 mins. Do you let him cry it out? Do you run in and put his paci back in? Do you just get him up? We have tried it all, and are still working on it.

One reason James wakes up is because he rolls over onto his tummy and won't lay his head down! Well, FINALLY today, he put his head down and went back to sleep! (That only lasted 15 mins, but it's a start!)

James at THREE Months!

James is now three months old! He seems to grow stronger every day! Now instead of talking, he likes to blow bubbles out of his mouth and make silly noises.

Weight- 11 lbs 11 oz (25%)
Height- 25 inches (90%)
Head- 15 inches (5%)
(mommy's head was measured between the 5th and 10th percentile)

James prefers to be on his tummy!

At about 12 weeks, James slept 11 hours for the first time ever! I was so scared and kept checking to make sure he was breathing. Now he is back down to 6 or 7 hours consistently.

James kept trying to sit up without support during my little photo shoot. It was hilarious because he kept falling over on his face!

JAMES ROLLS OVER ALL THE TIME NOW!
He is 14 weeks old and usually will not stay on his back for very long.
(excuse my high pitch baby voice)

James at Two Months

In reality, James is already 13 weeks, but I have to back track a little because I have been behind in blogging!  Sorry!  Here are some pictures of James around two months.  At this stage of his life, he weighed about 10 1/2 lbs and was sleeping between 6-8 hours at night.  He is a happy little boy and LOVES to talk.  His favorite positions are on his tummy and sitting or standing (with help of course!)

James at TWO months

James still loves his tummy time!

Except this time, he got a little sleepy.

James loves sitting in the bumbo!
He just watches whatever his mommy is doing at the time.

James just loves to talk, so I captured it on video for all of you to hear him!
It is just the sweetest sound to my ears.  I could talk with him all day long.

I couldn't ask for a more precious family.

Michelle's Beach Wedding

My younger sister, Michelle, just got married on the beach of Watersound, Florida.
She was so pretty and Josh was so handsome. You just can't go wrong with pictures at the ocean. They turned out great.

Justin was one of Michelle's photographers. The house where we stayed also had bikes, so Justin rode from the house to the beach the morning of the wedding. Haha.

Sweet little Anthony with James.

Wedding pictures on the beach :)

So sweet

Awww...

I say that Justin and my mom (who also took pictures) did a great job!

Leaving the beach.
Instead of driving away in the traditional car, the house where we stayed also provided a golf cart! Michelle and Josh rode down the boardwalk to the house after they were married.
Like the decorations? (signs, cans, flags)... compliments of Melanie, Mandy, and Mom.

This little guy was so worn out by the end of the day!

How crazy is this: The name of the house we stayed at was "Payne Remedy". Justin and I just had to get a picture with the sign.

Family trip to Florida

My mom, dad, sisters, brother-in-laws, nephew, husband and son all went on a family trip to Florida in July. We had such a great time. Justin and I had fun introducing James to the lounge chairs and sun! Below, you will see what we mean!

At the last minute before we left Memphis, I found this little shirt at Baby Gap. It is one of those UV Ray 50 protection shirts. And it was only $1.99! Isn't our little guy just adorable?

Ok, this was James' normal position when we went outside. I don't know if it was the warmth of the sun, or the sound of the wind and waves, but James would immediately fall asleep.
Here is James at the beach.

Here is James at the pool.

What a sweet face.

These are some great pictures of James' wrinkles on his forehead!

My adorable nephew, Anthony, LOVED the sand and waves. He just learned to walk, and he had no fear of the water knocking him down!

Meme played with Anthony in the sand.

Papa did a lot of babysitting while we were there.
I just love this picture :)

Justin and I took James for his first round of putting on the green.
We strapped him to Justin's chest (where he immediately fell asleep) and got to the putting area by bike!

Can you believe this is my twin sister? I am always a head taller than her, and she is always quite a few sizes smaller than me! (ps... we are both wearing flats)

This is my sweet sis Michelle with her new husband, Josh! They make the cutest couple. Next post to come.....the wedding on the beach!
