The last time we went to Virginia to see Mimi Payne, James was only a year old. He was just starting to take his first steps. So it was definitely time to make another trip!! Right after Christmas, we left straight from Nonie's and drove to Virginia.
A beautiful drive
Taking a break from driving and eating at Chick-fil-a :)
Sweet :)
We made it! It was so so good to see Mimi.
The kids didn't have any trouble finding ways to stay busy.
James pushed Reese around on Mimi's walker.
They looked at and talked about the pictures in Mimi's room.
James tried on Mimi's shoes :)
Reese admired Mimi's jewelry.
And the kids watched Mimi as she opened her birthday gifts from the family. Mimi was turning 97 in just a few days!!
Justin printed off some pages from our blog to give to Mimi so she could have
a tangible copy to look at.

And Nonie and Pops gave her a digital frame that had pictures of the entire
family rotating every few seconds.

We then got to go to the big dining hall!
We had such a lovely dinner. And as always, dinner ended with yummy ice cream!!!
We loved our visit with Mimi Payne so much! It went by way to fast. We love you Mimi!
And I wish we had gotten pictures made with the Grant family. They are very dear friends of Mimi's and they opened their home to us graciously!!
